Featuring several performances each day of chamber music, orchestral works, percussion & jazz, the 34th edition of the FIMUPA (Festival Internacional de Música do Pará) brings musicians from across the globe to Belém for an intensive week of musical and cultural exchange with the residents of a unique metropolis at the edge of the Amazon.
Beo String Quartet joins pianist Nathália Kato to perform an exquisite program on Tuesday, November 8th. The concert will begin with Suíte Waldemar in three movements by Brazilian composer Luiz Pardal. Following this, Beo will perform Dmitri Shostakovich's infamous dark and intense Eighth String Quartet. The last piece on the program is Ernst von Dohnányi's youthful and exciting Piano Quintet in C minor.
